Help for budding food entrepreneurs

September 3rd, 2022

The THRIVE course consists of an online session and an in-person (or online) day at QMU

A course that takes place on two consecutive Saturdays in November 2022 aims to inspire and support the next generation of food and drink entrepreneurs.

Known as THRIVE, the new event follows a successful first outing in 2012, which delegates described as ‘invaluable’, ‘transformative’ and ‘packed full of great advice’.

A collaborative initiative from SRUC, Queen Margaret University and Abertay University, the event takes the form of an online Business Skills day on Saturday November 5th, 2022 and a hybrid (face-to-face or online) Food Product Development day at QMU Edinburgh on Saturday November 12th, 2022. Attendance is free but it is important to apply for a place using the online application form.

At the end of Day Two, participants will have the opportunity, if they wish, to pitch their business idea to a panel of judges from the food and drink industry to gain valuable feedback in a safe environment.
