Farm shop at Carfrae opens

Nestled in the foothills of the Lammermuirs, Carfrae Farm has long been known for its holiday cottages as well as its environmentally responsible operation of both arable and livestock farming.

Now, the farm shop in a building that has in the past been home to pigs and Clydesdale horses, will attract new visitors to this quiet and beautiful corner of our rural county.

The shop offers a huge range of goodies and prides itself on its eco-friendly offering of refills of household products and store cupboard essentials.

East Lothian Food & Drink members are well represented – beer from Belhaven, gin from Fidra, exciting flavours from Spice Pots, and even the joint effort of Kilduff  flour milled by Mungoswells.

Finally, we welcome Carfrae as an East Lothian Food & Drink supporter, a type of membership open to food and drink businesses in the county that are not producers in themselves. We’re very pleased to have them on board.
